A Faux Barn Board Sign

I really like all the typography signs out there and wanted to make one of my own. I have found that I really like all things rustic – so this is what I came up with!

I used some boards we had laying around and distressed them. Spray painted the boards an off white color – I’m not exactly sure which one anymore.

I had a cardboard stencil that I cut out and spray painted the branches and leaves.

Printing out the word faith in a font I like, I transferred it to the boards uing the pencil transfer method.

I hand painted the faith and used a colored pencil to slightly outline it to make it stand out more.

This vignette features alot of things made that were inspired by the internet.

The twine balls, simplistic bird, star topper on the old bottle were all things I liked and were shown how to do – thanks everyone!

The quilt is a large lap quilt that we use in our family room. Many nights are spent snuggled underneath this blanket! I made it with a bunch of scraps that I had so it was an inexpensive pop of color for my room.
